I love how Springs feels here in Wisconsin... Like nature has been holdong out for so long that it needs to suddenly explode with flowers and leaves and pretty everywhere. Same goes with the people, it's just so awesome !

And another flower has bloomed : little Ayla Lucia has joined the family for whom I'm nannying, she's just the cutest thing around !

Panic at the Disco @ Furia Sound Festival (29/06/08) Part 1

So... Here's my recap and pictures for the show in Paris, at the Furia...

This post was so heavy I had to cut it in two parts, since it made my computer crash 3 times >____< So it is NOT DIAL-UP FRIENDLY !

So, I went to the Furia with my friend, and I was there mostly to see Panic but we also came the day before that. Anyway, we arrived extra early at the stage where Panic would be playing, and people were already there, but I could easily be near the stage.
The concert was awesome (as usual...). I was kind of surprised when they arrived on stage and played 'She's a Handsome Woman', since pretty much everybody was expecting 'We're so Starving'... But I think they did all my favourites from Pretty. Odd., except for 'Folkin' Around', which I would have loved to hear live, but I'll get another chance, I guess. They also did quite a few songs from AFYCSO, and every little bit of it was just awesome !
I was so squeezed during the show that I broke my cellphone... But it's still working, only the screen is broken, so it doesn't matter. And now every time I look at it I'm like 'I broke it at a Panic show! ♥'

Now something very different, but I'm very excited about this and I really really hope it's going to happen... I'm going to move to the US next year ! I'll spend a year there, as an au pair, before coming back to France.
Lately I've been feeling like college is suffocating me, and I really need a big change, to finally be able to breathe. And I figured, why not do that ? That's something I can only do while I'm young, and it's really exciting ! I've dreamt of going to the US since I was 11, and now there's a possibility for it to really happen !
I'm going to try my best to go there ! ♥
Just the thought of going to New-York is making me hyperventilate ! XD Of course it's going to be hard, spending a year away from my family and friends, but nowadays, with the internet, it's so easy to stay in touch !

New-York, here I come !

I'm supposed to work, I have exams coming up next week, but here I am, procrastinating again...

So I decided to take the Twilight Survey that I found at boundary 's journal.

Which book in the series is your favorite?
Eclipse.

How long did it take you to read the books?
Mmmmm... About two weeks. I knew I would only have these three to read, so I tried to read them as slowly as I could...

Who introduced you to the books?
I read about them in blacklullaby's journal (I could never thank you enough for that !)

Did you buy them, borrow them, or have them given to you as a gift?
I had my parents buy them to me for Xmas. I was soooo broke at the time ! I had heard of the books about a month or two before Xmas, and I had the hardest time having to wait to read them...

Are you most looking forward to: Breaking Dawn, Midnight Sun, or the movie?
Breaking Dawn. I am litterally DYING to find out what happens next...

What's your dream ending to the series?
My dream ending... What would make me the happiest would be Bella realising Jacob's the one she needs. But what I would feel is right is Bella being turned into a vampire by Edward and Jacob imprinting, so that they would all find the happiness they deserve...

There are times when I can see a little bit of Edward in Robert Pattinson... But most of the time, it just doesn't work for me. But I'm not one of those haters either. It's just hard to find someone to fit what everybody's has in their head, since everybody sees a different Edward !
As for Kristen Bell, I find her a little too cold to be Bella. But you never now, if there's chemistry between those two, it might work !

Are you going to go see it?
I don't know... I think that I'll download it, since I won't be able to stand watching it in French, if it is ever released here.

Planning on going with anyone in particular?
My best friend. I introduced her to the books about two weeks ago, and for two weeks we've been calling each other twice a day, texting each other, e-mailing each other just to talk about the books... XD

Do you think it will stay true to the book?
I'm afraid not. I've always been disappointed by movies adapted from books. I think it will always look better in my head.

Breaking Dawn Speculation:

Are you planning on buying this book as soon as it's out?
Of course ! I'm alread planning on harrassing every bookstore in town so that I can be sure to have it on the same day it comes out in the US (if they can do it for Harry Potter, they can do it for Twilight !)

Do you think Bella will be turned into a vampire finally?
I don't know. I hope so, though.

Do you think she and Edward will get married?
If Bella doesn't get cold feet, they definitely will.

Do you think Jacob might imprint in this book?
Once again, I hope so. That way, everyone could be happy... And I DO want a happy ending !

Edward. I still keep hoping for Jacob, though.

Please please please let it be a happy ending ! Or I will spend days crying about it again ! ;^;

Well, Bella will, in order to become a vampire. Otherwise ? I don't know... Maybe one of the werewolves. Or Billy. I don't know why, but I have this feeling that Billy might die.

For a twist: what would you think if Edward was somehow turned human?
Hmm. I don't see how that could happen, but it would make things a lot easier, in a way...

Do you think Jacob will be over Bella by the end of the book?
I don't think he ever will be. He'll always love her, in a way. But if he imprints, and if he is happy, that love won't be something that makes him suffers anymore.

What do you most want to happen in Breaking Dawn?
I only want Jacob to be happy !

What's your dream ending?
Dream ending ? Well, Jacob/Bella would be my dream ending... Althought I would feel bad for Edward, but...

J'ai la flemme d'écrire en Anglais, pourtant je préfère en général, mais bon, là c'est dimanche matin, ya des limites tout de même ! XD

Je viens de finir (enfin!) de regarder la saison 2 de Dexter (après avoir été, après l'épisode 7, regarder comment se finissait la saison, parce que j'étais sur le point d'avoir une crise cardiaque...). J'aime vraiment bien cette série, le fait que ça soit pas plein de gentils sentiments mièvres, le fait qu'ils montrent du sang (contrairement aux cadavres tout propres dans les 3/4 des séries), et puis le fait que toute l'histoire soit totalement inconventionnelle... Ca déchire !

Sur une autre note, j'ai regardé The Covenant hier (ma crise Steven Strait est toujours d'actualité). Le film en lui même était super naze, j'ai trouvé qu'il n'y avait pas d'histoire, pas de profondeur aux personnages, bref un scénario bien bidon... Après, visuellement parlant, c'était super beau. La lumière est super bien gérée dans le film, le rythme est soutenu, ce qui fat que malgrè le scénario bancal, j'ai plutôt pprécié ce film. En tant que divertissement, quoi. Ca m'a passé une soirée. Et puis bon, Steven Strait est troooop beau ! XD (on ne pourra jamais annihiler la fangirl qui est en moi)

Maintenant je suis dans la merde, demain j'ai un exposé à faire pour la fac et je suis même pas encore totalement décidée sur le sujet... Quelle idée de nous faire faire des exposés en italien ! Bordel, je déteste l'italien ! J'exècre l'italien ! >________< Pourquoi est-ce que je fait LEA Anglais-Italien ? Pourquoiiiiiiiiiiii ? *désespérée*

Hmmm... Bon ben va falloir que je me mette au boulot... Et surtout, ne pas penser à screencaper The Covenant pour faire des icons... Ne pas y penser du tout... Sinon la tentation va être trop forte >____

Ok, this post is going to be a lot of fangirl babbling so I'm gonna put it under a fake cut...

Oh, and beware for Twilight series spoilers, too. Especially from Eclipse.

Oh God oh God oh God !
Why does it seem that I can't stop fangirling over anything ?

Anyway... Right now, I'm fangirling like crazy over Twilight. And Jacob Black.
I liked him in Twilight, although he doesn't appear much. I loved him in New Moon, in every way possible (though he sometimes annoyed me a little, when he gets a little too much 'wolfy'). I adored him in Eclipse. I adored him to death. And since I've finished reading the book, five days ago, it's become worse.

First thing is, I haven't been able to read a single word from any book. The Twilight Books are on my nightstand, right were I left them when I finished them. I haven't been ble to read any other book, because, has stupid has it may sound, it would feel like a betrayal. When I like books too much, it takes me a little time to get over them... A little like greeving, in a way. I had planned to read His Dark Materials after this, but I haven't been able to lay my eyes on the first page. I haven't even been able to open any of the Twilight books either, especially Eclipse, since I cried so much at the end, and it makes me sad just to think about it..

So, I come to Jacob Black. Since I've finished reading the books, I've been liking him more and more. I don't, know, I guess I never really forgave Edward for leaving in New Moon, and causing al this suffering, for Bella and for Jacob. And although I do love Edward, and I do know that him and Bella make so much sense together, I've started to like Jacob better.
In Eclipse, when he kissed Bella the first time, I realised I had been waiting for that since almost the beginning... But it didn't feel totally right. While I was readig the seen, just before the fight, when Bella realises she's in love with Jacob, I was totally torn between my fangirl need to squeal and my wanting to cry so much (and I think I did both at the same time...)
But the more time passes, and the more Jacob makes sense. Maybe I just sympathize more with him than with Edward. I guess I can realte to his feelings more... I just looooove him !

And then, this morning, I was going through LJ, lurking a little on some journals, picking up new icons for my HUGE collection, when I stumbled into someone talking about Steven Strait again. The only pictures of him I had seen were in blacklullaby's icons, but he looked just EXACTLY like I've always pictured Jacob in my head. So I went to wikipedia to find out a little more... And then on Youtube, to see how he really looked... And I found this, which actually broke my heart...

So the truth is : Steven Strait is soooooooooooo gorgeous, and he looks exactly like Jacob when he has his hair pulled back (When his hair is down, it's too messy, I imagined Jacob with straighter hair... But a hair straightener will do the trick ^___^). I want him to play in the Twilight movie (when, he might look a little too old for Twilight, but I'm hoping their would be a New Moon and an Eclipse movie after that, and there he MUST play Jacob !) His smile is just PERFECT ! He is gorgeous ! *squeee*
And now I WANT to see Undiscovered ! I want I want I want ! *stamps foot* But I can't seem to find it anywhere... Damn it, aren't you supposed to find anything on the internet ?
Well, if I don't find it soon, and if I have enough money, I think I'm going to buy it. I found it for 13 dollars on Amazon, which is, like, 8 euros... (I love the Euro/Dollar exchange rate !!)
I want the soundtrack too !

Well, I think that'll be all for today, if I write and/or fangirl more, I think I'm gonna explode...

One of my friend has just bought Twilight (although in French, she can't read in English), I just can't wait for her to read it, so that I can fangirl over it with her ! XD

Since when has time been passing so fast ? We're already the 6... And I feel sick, because I didn't study AT ALL during the holidays... >__< Stupid college ! I don't want to go back there... Although I love many of my classes, just to think about Italian classes makes me want to hide in my bed... God damn it !

Well, I just have to stop thinking about it. And talk about something that I'm happy about. And right now, that would be... Twilight.
I'm sooo addicted to these books ! Right now, I'm in the middle of reading Eclipse, and I have to force myself every day not to read to much, so that it will last a little longer...
These books are just wonderful. I haven't been bored for a second since I started reading them. The characters are wonderful... This is just the kind of novel I love, really. Because, even though it's about vampires and werewolves, it's so human... And I just can't wait to read every word from Eclipse, and then all the other books after that. And please, Ms Meyer, make a lot more of them ! ♥
